Job description- Accounting and Taxation Head

ROLE OBJECTIVE:

The Head of Accounting oversees all activities of the accounting and tax accounting departments and is involved in the supervision and management of general accounting activities, analyses, business partnership, and the maintenance of effective internal controls while ensuring statutory compliance in all accounting initiatives.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Directing all aspects of accounting operations, overseeing all transactions related to general ledger, receivables, payables, payroll and financial reporting.
  • Analyzing company's financial results with respect to profits, trends, costs and compliance with budgets. Issue regular status and ad hoc reports to senior management.
  • Providing strategic guidance around capital financing options to support company growth needs.
  • WDeveloping and coordinating all relationships with lending/financial institutions.
  • Developing and maintaining all necessary accounting policies and systems, including general ledger and financial reporting. Ensuring that records are maintained in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles. Oversee contract bookkeeper.
  • Assisting senior management in financial planning and results management. Work with other team members to understand revenue and cost drivers and define appropriate reports for tracking.
  • Coordinating, preparing and reviewing monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
  • Coordinating and/or preparing tax schedules, returns and information.
  • Managing relationships with insurance providers and ensuring compliance.
  • Managing all tax planning and compliance with all required federal, state, local, payroll, property and other applicable taxes.
  • Managing cash flow.
  • Building an accounting department as the company grows.
  • Interacting with partners and board of directors.
  • Strong mentoring, coaching experience to a team with diverse levels of expertise.
  • Other finance and administrative duties as required.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Significant working knowledge of real estate accounting.
  • Significant working knowledge of real estate finance and treasury management.
  • Excellent computer skills in word-processing, spreadsheet and accounting software.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to function effectively in multi-cultural environment.

Job Description- Finance Head

ROLE OBJECTIVE:

The Finance Head position is an integral part of the leadership team and this person will work in all facets of our business, independently leading transactions, and building relationships with investors and other key stakeholders Ownership and transaction management to raise funds.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare Financial model, Teaser, Information memorandum etc. for raising funds or in relation to M&A initiatives.
  • Independently lead transaction execution including investor reach out and pitches, negotiation of terms, working with third-party service providers, and advising on and finalizing definitive documents, and closing. Oversee the quality of client deliverables by having strong attention to detail.
  • Lead & manage relationships with existing Equity and International Bond Investors and introduce new investors to the group.
  • Track industry participants across the country very closely and identify right opportunities for M&A to support Group's growth objectives. Present opportunity to the Board, get consensus and pursue the same.
  • Interact with bankers, get DRHP, Equity story prepared, pitch to the investors etc.
  • Head Investor Relation for the Company and strive to add Long Only investors to the Register.
  • Communicate regulatory, financial information and complex strategic issues in a clear, concise, and relevant manner.
  • Oversee all asset management activities, including legal, regulary and partnership compliance regarding all property management functions.
  • Planning, administering and monitoring risk management activities, including annual insurance renewal process.
  • Analysis of financials and other performance indicators for each property o preparation and submission of quarterly and annual reports Finance, Treasury, Cash Flow, & Investor Relations.
  • Oversees cash and investments to appropriately balance risk, return and liquidity.
  • With higher management, represent the company to financial partners including financial institutions, investors, foundation executives, public officials, and others Corporate and Partnership Administration Oversees structuring and administration of corporate and partnership entities Risk Management & Legal With other higher management, provide leadership and oversight of risk management and insurance activities.
  • With other higher management, manage attorney relationships and monitors pending and potential litigation.

DESIRED CANDIDATE PROFILE:

  • MBA - Finance or CA Significant working knowledge of real estate finance and Fund raising
  • Excellent computer skills in word-processing, spreadsheet and accounting software Excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • Strong Financial Modelling and Presentation Skills.
