Invest in Marunji, a village no more
Located in the western part of the city, Marunji is a small village on the outskirts of Pune. Well connected to the rest of the bustling city and closest to Hinjewadi (the IT Village of Pune), Marunji has immense potential for growth.
The Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation has drafted a developmental plan which would absorb villages in and around the area, including Marunji which is currently under a gram panchayat. It will be merged with the PCMC, facilitating a rise in development and creating many investment benefits. This geographical expansion of borders will promote growth and economy in the village as well as in the city.
Once Marunji is merged with PCMC, development will be at a quick pace. We now see it as a land of opportunities. Marunji will give more emphasis on planning urban neighbourhoods. The idea is to promote a better quality of life in this village and improve the liveability of the area. The rapid urbanisation of Marunji will integrate it with the rest of the metropolitan city of Pune, and thus increase its market potential. This in turn will generate lucrative investment opportunities.
In terms of development, Marunji will significantly prosper under the regulation of PCMC. The merger will encourage developers to come up with newer and better projects for the area. This would mean better infrastructure, better living conditions, retail boom and economic growth on the whole. It is a global trend to have housing developments in and around a business district, and Hinjewadi, the IT hub five minutes away from Marunji increases its prospects. Marunji will soon be up and coming and its proximity to places like Hinjewadi, and the Balewadi stadium only adds to its appeal.
